I don’t put a ton of thought into my nails day to day, but before a trip I’m much more intentional about the color I choose. I want something that still looks good several days later, especially if I know I won’t have time for touch-ups.
Silver has become one of my favorite travel nail colors for exactly that reason.
It reflects light and has enough dimension that chips and wear are much less noticeable than they are with solid colors. Even once it starts growing out a bit, it still looks intentional instead of messy.
The formula matters too. A long-wearing polish combined with a forgiving color usually means my manicure still looks decent much longer than expected.

This is the silver I’m currently wearing. It has a reflective finish that catches the light without feeling too bold, and it works with pretty much everything. I especially like it for travel because it still looks good even once it starts showing a little wear.
Final thoughts
Choosing the right nail color before a trip feels like one of those small things that makes everything easier. Silver is one I keep coming back to because it stays looking fresh longer than almost anything else I own.
